CurrencyHint ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our currency converter mobile application. By using XchangeRate, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

We collect minimal information necessary to provide our service:

Device Information: We collect basic device identifiers (advertising ID) solely for displaying relevant advertisements through Google AdMob. This does not include your name, email address, or any personally identifiable information.

Usage Data: We collect anonymised usage statistics including which currency pairs are most frequently converted, app session duration, and feature usage patterns. This data is aggregated and cannot be used to identify you personally.

Crash Reports: If the app crashes, we may collect technical diagnostic data including device model, operating system version, and the state of the app at the time of the crash. This helps us improve stability.

No Account Required: XchangeRate does not require you to create an account or provide any personal information to use the app.

The information we collect is used exclusively for:

Service Improvement: Anonymised usage data helps us understand which features are most valuable and where we can improve the user experience.

Advertising: Device identifiers are shared with Google AdMob to display contextually relevant advertisements. You can opt out of personalised ads at any time through your device settings.

Bug Fixes & Stability: Crash reports help us identify and resolve technical issues quickly, ensuring a reliable experience.

We never sell your data to third parties, use it for marketing purposes, or share it with any entity outside of our listed service providers.

CurrencyHint fetches live exchange rate data from third-party financial data providers. When you request a currency conversion:

— Your query is sent to our data provider's servers to retrieve current rates.

— We do not log or store your individual conversion queries.

— The currencies you convert are not associated with your identity.

Exchange rate data is provided for informational purposes only and should not be used as the sole basis for financial decisions.

XchangeRate integrates the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

Google AdMob — Used to display advertisements. Google may collect device identifiers and usage data in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy).

Google Analytics for Firebase — Used for anonymised app analytics. Data is aggregated and cannot identify individual users.

Exchange Rate API Providers — We use financial data APIs to fetch current exchange rates. These providers receive your IP address as part of standard internet communication but do not receive any personal information.

We encourage you to review the privacy policies of these third-party services.

We retain data only as long as necessary:

— Crash Reports: Retained for 90 days, then automatically deleted.

— Anonymised Analytics: Aggregated data is retained for up to 24 months for trend analysis.

— Advertising Data: Governed by Google AdMob's retention policies.

You may request deletion of any data associated with your device by contacting us at the email address below.

CurrencyHint is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately and we will take steps to delete such information from our systems.

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your data:

Access: Request information about what data we hold related to your device.

Deletion: Request deletion of data associated with your device identifier.

Opt-Out of Personalised Ads: Go to your device Settings → Privacy → Advertising and enable "Limit Ad Tracking" (iOS) or "Opt out of Ads Personalisation" (Android).

Data Portability: Request a copy of your data in a machine-readable format.
